East Bay Pizza pairs up with Woodland Sweets & Eats to offer delicious snacks just steps from the bay and recreational opportunities
It doesn't get much better than riding or walking the TART Trail along US 31 and East Grand Traverse Bay between Traverse City and Acme. Except when you’re hungry.
For several years, Woodland Sweets has offered snacks and drinks, focusing on the best that northern Michigan has to offer: Moomer’s Ice Cream, Mackinaw Fudge and other snacks.
But visitors wanted more, said owner Rob Evina.
“They bike along the TART Trail and stop to play at our playground area,” he said. “They said they would like to see us offer more food.”
So they added some favorite items to the meal that can function as a meal or a substantial snack: paninis, pizza and more. This fall, Woodland Sweets has become Woodland Sweets & Eats, partnering with the new East Bay Pizza, which offers its own signature special-recipe dough and sauce, as well as fresh-cut vegetables as part of its extensive list of 25 different topping options. East Bay Pizza also has many different house specialties, Evina said, including a nacho pizza with six cheeses, a BLT pizza, BBQ pizza and a Hawaiian pizza. Additionally, visitors can create their own favorite combinations.
The eatery’s unique ambiance, unrivaled view and distinctive East Bay location is a perfect atmosphere for a family night of fun or an evening out with friends, he added.
East Bay Pizza will celebrate its Grand Opening on Monday, Sept. 10. Visitors ordering an extra large pizza will receive a free pint of Moomer’s Ice Cream.
East Bay Pizza, located with Woodland Sweets & Eats at 4386 US 31 North, next to the Woodland Creek playground in Traverse City, is a great place to plan a party! With a large patio and over 200 parking space, large groups are easily accommodated. East Bay Pizza offers deliver service and dine-in service. Restaurant hours are:
Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and
Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
